Senior Product Design Engineer ()
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing current processes (AS-IS) to develop conceptual data models (To-Be) and to integrate multiple tools and data flows across various functions into a single view
- Articulate the business cases and prepare PowerPoint presentations demonstrating value adds, feasibility and implementation methodology
- Collaborate and communicate with multiple work teams, including Product Engineering, Marketing and IT, to enable alignment of optimized work processes
- Responsible for designing and developing solutions for automotive products; configure design and data management tools
- Assist in the implementation of new strategies to support traditional and autonomous vehicles; analyze and interpret product specifications and vehicle requirements
- Responsible for appropriate engineering and design solutions; develop and conduct evaluations, updates, and modifications to configurations; perform load and test scalability studies and develop content for product structure
- Integrate new technology and capabilities into existing vehicle systems methods; responsible for developing use cases to include all software-impacting features and software configurations driven by network architecture and ECU variants
- Use BOM, Vis Mockup, PLM Suite, WERS, and PDO to perform assigned tasks; utilize AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer, CATIA, MATLAB, Teamcenter, Solidworks, PTC CREO, ANSYS, SQL, and Visio to perform duties
- Develop conceptual and strategic documentation and obtain feedback and/or concurrence; document the business use cases and UI requirements for IT engagement
- Deep interaction with IT during development and final testing of functionality; conceptualize and enable data alignment and synchronization between FEDE, VSEM, and PDO with PCA
- Responsible for VIN-level BoF and application/OS implementation for features; implement feature management workflows and effectivity to enable updates driven by application updates based on MY changes and product variants, including regional variances
- Develop and deploy Teamcenter configurations and document the standardized methods to support CAD, BOM and PLM with solutions for product development; and analyze engineering data to integrate the engineering workflow process to improve engineering efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)

- Other Requirements: Must have completed one (1) academic semester of coursework and/or academic research work which included use of all the following: AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer, CATIA, MATLAB, Teamcenter, Solidworks, PTC CREO, ANSYS, SQL and Visio
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
